How to Apply

Basic Requirements for Tenancy

Units are available for qualifying individuals, families with children and seniors who have a total family
income of less than 50% of median income (see below).

NO PETS ARE PERMITTED. 

An application will not be accepted unless there is a current vacancy.

As of 7/20/2023 Vacancies are:

3 – Two Bedroom  $860

1 – Three Bedroom  $930

To be considered for a vacancy, you must include the following information with the application:

  • A copy of a current driver’s license or state ID for all adults that will occupy the unit
  • A credit score of 640 or higher.
  • A copy of last year’s income tax return
  • A current pay stub or any form of additional income such as SSI, etc.
  • 90 days of all current checking and or savings account (bank statements)
  • Statements for all other cash accounts, including IRAs, stocks, KEOGH’s, etc.
  • $50 Non-Refundable paid by credit or debit card for application processing which includes a current credit report and background check.

In addition, the following conditions must be met:

  • Gross household monthly income must be a least three (3) times the monthly rent.
  • Applicants accepting housing above street level must demonstrate an ability to navigate
    stairs on their own power.
  • PERSONS APPLYING FOR THE 24 MONTH TEMPORARY HOUSING PROGRAM
    MUST SUBMIT A PLAN OUTLINING WHAT STEPS YOU WILL TAKE TO ENABLE YOU TO MOVE INTO MARKET BASED HOUSING WITHIN THE NEXT 24 MONTHS.  THIS PLAN MUST BE APPROVED AS PART OF THE TENANCY REQUIREMENTS.
  • Applicants, other than seniors, must agree to move when they no longer meet the residency
    requirements or at the end of 24 months, whichever comes first.
  • All applicants must continue to meet the financial requirements and will be required to be
    requalified yearly.

This addendum is part of the application for tenancy and all items requested will be used in part to determine tenancy eligibility. 

You must agree to a full credit report which will include a full criminal background report, current employment check, and applicant must have a credit score of 640 or better and the $50 processing fee is NON REFUNDABLE.
